Buena Vida or 'The Good Life' is exactly what you will be experiencing with this  luxurious, 1850 square foot, 2 bedroom, Riviera Maya - Mayan Riviera ocean-view condo that provides the best of both indoor and outdoor living.  Located in Puerto Aventuras Mexico prestigious  Villas del Mar condo complex you will find yourself within walking distance to the many activities and services that this wonderful resort/residential community has to offer.

If your group is not large enough for one of our luxurious villas don't despair, we have a fabulous option for you to consider.  Buena Vida, as we affectionately refer to this spacious condo, is very open, commands spectacular views, and offers all of the amenities you would be provided with at a villa.  All of this located at one of the most desirable locations Puerto Aventuras and the Mayan Riviera has to offer.    Buena Vida is part of Puerto's premier condo complex 'Villas del Mar.'  This upscale development has five buildings clustered in a wide horseshoe arrangement around a large lawn/garden/pool area.  The pool and grounds alone would be enough to satisfy most anyone, however it doesn't end there.  Villas del Mar fronts one of the most gorgeous powdery white sand beaches you can imagine.  It truly is an inviting and idyllic spot.  You will most certainly know you are on a luxurious Riviera Maya vacation when you experience it all.   Adding to the appeal of this location is your proximity to the many services and attractions Puerto Aventuras has to offer.  In less than 5 minutes you can be teeing up to play golf, climbing into a dive boat, headed off to catch a sailfish, dining in a tranquil outdoor restaurant, swimming with dolphins or shopping for a special gift.  Of course, that is only if you can drag yourself away from the terrace with its' wonderful view, then past that great swimming pool and beyond the gin clear Caribbean waters.

Buena Vida is on the first floor of the new 'E' building.  This is the last building in the complex and serves to close the horseshoe arrangement.  There is parking for those who choose to rent a car and an elevator for those who would rather not walk the short flight of stairs.  

Upon entering Buena Vida you can't help but be taken by the spaciousness and quality finishing of this brand new condo.  You will immediately be drawn to the sliding glass doors that cover the entire frontage of the living/dining room.  As soon as you open them up to step out on that inviting terrace, you will learn that the sliding doors all slide back into hidden pockets in the wall to bring the outdoors right inside.  The effect is quite stunning.  

In addition to the fabulous view of the grounds, pool and ocean, the terrace has a table and chairs for outdoor dining, a cozy corner bench to curl up with a book, and a gas grill to prepare that delicious Mahi Mahi that you caught only a couple of hours ago while out deep sea fishing.  This terrace extends all the way to the master bedroom where 2 wicker chairs offer a tranquil spot to enjoy the sunrise over a morning coffee.

The living/dining room is very spacious, open, comfortable and provides a wonderful view.  A wrap around couch offers a relaxing place for everyone to gather for conversation or to watch a movie on the DVD, VCR or Cable surround TV system.  If you enjoy music, bring your favorite tunes with you to enjoy on the stereo.  A collection of DVD's and Video tapes are also provided.  

The dining table is perfect for 4 but can handle 6.  A large pass through counter to the kitchen provides a great bar or buffet table.  The layout and amenities of this fully equipped kitchen ensures that should you decide to eat in, you will find everything you need and the cook will never feel like they are tucked away in a corner somewhere.  The kitchen counters are done is stylish local marble and accented by the native custom built kitchen cabinetry.  This condo even boasts a dishwasher which is somewhat of a novelty in this part of Mexico.  

A half bath at the entrance and a utility room with washer and dryer are provided for your added convenience.

The master bedroom is at the far end of the condo and is quite large.  A slider opens up to access the terrace and of course the views.  A comfortable window bench is bright and inviting should you wish to loose yourself in a book or your thoughts away from the group.  The King size bed mattress, linens and towels are all of high quality and most comfortable.  

A large bathroom with twin sinks and a glass block shower gives you plenty of space to prepare yourselves for a special night out at one of the romantic restaurants on the marina.  a hairdryer and bottled water is provided for your convenience too.  

A TV with Cable, DVD and VCR is provided for those lazy mornings when you feel like celebrating that you have nothing to do today but enjoy yourself.

The guest bedroom is also bright, well appointed and quite spacious.  A King bed with quality mattress and linens ensures a comfortable night of rest and inspires pleasant dreams of warm Caribbean days spent frolicking on the beach.  A futon couch/sofa bed folds out to create a double bed if required.  

A television with Cable connection, DVD, VCR and a Nintendo video game system will keep the kids busy in the mornings while you sleep in.  The attached full bath has quality towels and a hairdryer for your convenience.

Arnie & Guests,  We had such an amazing time!  The condo was fully equipped with all the comforts of home, & in such a perfect location.  Every day we would start off by laying down on the beach with a bucket of beer & we kept saying that it was just like a Corona commercial.  We also did some snorkeling & our favorite place was in Tulum because we saw turtles the size of the coffee table!!  Also if you want some great shopping, make sure to go to Playa del Carmen on 5th Avenue.  It is totally worth the 20 minute drive because there is over a mile of fun shops all located on one street.  Also our absolute favorite place to eat at night was Gringo Daves.  There is a singer there named James and Kareoke on Sunday & Thursday.  Also one of the owners is a sweet Australian lady named Lola, so if you can be sure to have a chat with her.  Overall we had the best, most memorable trip ever & we will be back.  Thanks to Arnie for sharing this luxurious condo with us!  The Storms & Heaths, Seattle WA

For nearly a full month we have been able to live the 'dream life'  PA is so perfect for us that we bought a fractional at the PortoBello marina.  We used the taxi service for al of our trips out of PA.  Never had a bad meal in PA.  The blackened burger at Richards is fabulous as is everything - yes - everything at Tiramisu.  Order the jalapeno poppers at the pub... you won't be sorry.  We went to Buena Vida in Akumal.  It is a really good restaurant on the beach.  Thank you for this opportunity.  Ken & Nancy, Fernie BC Jan. -  Feb. 2007

We cannot tell you how much we enjoyed our time here...  Arnie, the condo was absolutely beautiful and came with absolutely everything we might have needed.  The view is picturesque and location supreme.  Thank you, Thank you, Thank you...  We enjoyed evenings and mornings on the balcony and spent our days running between the pool, ocean and our family at Ocean Homes - We thoroughly enjoyed each and every moment.  The Coba Ruins were certainly a highlight, as was the 'Garden of Eden' cenote.  If  you are traveling to Tulum.  The Mezainine restaurant is absolutely delicious.  Of course New Year's Eve in Playa del Carmen was great as were many dinners in Puerto Aventuras.  Thanks for being so accommodating - your space was much appreciated and exceeded expectations.  Weber, Cacic & Rhead Families, Christmas 2006 - New Year 2007

Arnie, First, thank you for sharing beautiful home!  Second, what truly is a paradise this location is!!   It is so beautiful, calm and peaceful.  We played many card games of crazy 8's on the deck each evening and made many family memories!   Trebol in Pto. is a fantastic restaurant!  Really good food - all you eat pasta is fantastic.  The shopping in Pto. is very good too. - We went into Playa del Carmen but bought all our silver, T-shits + dresses here in Pto.  Wamart & Sam's Club (140 pesos taxi) were perfect to buy our food.  Aquanauts was our diving choice!!  The pool here is incredible & we loved swimming in it & having the view each morning.  Thanks for a wonderful vacation.  It was perfect !!! Dear #3 at Arnies....  Although the palm trees are a little thinner on the top (thanks to Wilma &Emily) Puerto is still our favorite place.  We enjoy the sunrise on Arnie's deck (yes we get up that early) and a nice glass of wine in the evening to the cool caribbean breeze.  The new restaurant in town called Trebol (clover) Irish sports bar, good food and the best bano.  We are retuning for 3 weeks next year.  Wendy & Keith, March 2006

Arnie & future guests,  We enthusiastically agree with all the previous entries that extol the virtues of this setting, this beautiful condo and how well equipped it is.  The pool & tranquil beach are perfect for our two children, ages 7 & 4.  We visited Xcaret on a Monday and found the place remarkable and surprisingly uncrowded.  We had good times at Buena Vida (restaurant - bar in Akumal), Casa Cenote (Tankha), La Caprichoa (Playa del Carmen) and Leo's Pizza (Chemuyil)  Also the quality of restaurants in Puerto Aventuras has improved over previous experience.   At the end of the day, the sight and sound of the nearby sea gives a sense of serenity that even the best restaurants don't approach.  We love it here and hope to return.  Our only disappointment is the apparent lack of recycling in an area that prides itself in eco-parks, the environment and ecology.  Mack, Gwen, Jill & Matthew F,  NJ

WOW! That was our first impression of this gorgeous villa.  The Villas del Mar complex is absolutely beautiful and so well cared for.  We enjoyed the solitude of the complex as this was the 'off-season'.  We usually had the entire pool to ourselves.  We only had to share the beach with a handful of people.  It was nice to the beach bartender from Omni come down to our complex to offer drinks. We went to Cozumel for a day.  not sure if we'd do that again.  Playa del Carmen and Cozumel are very busy.  A lot of people and a lot of venders yelling for your attention.  Snorkeled in Cozumel, but to tell the truth, we saw just as many beautiful fish snorkeling right here at our beach.  If you like action you will love Cozumel and Playa del Carmen...... You are right!  This is the 'Good Life' !  We had a wonderful stay here in your beautiful condo.  So much nicer than we ever imagined.  We were all blown away by the incredible snorkeling right off the gorgeous beach.  The food in the village was great - we were never disappointed.  Banana pancakes at Cafe Ole and we enjoyed their music on Wednesday night.  What fun.  Several guidar players, singer a guy playing the stel drums and Lenny on the harmonica.  Very enjoyable.  The fajitas at Dos Chiles were very good for lunch...... We had an awesome time on our trip - The village of Puerto Aventuras is the greatest place, and Villas Del Mar was soooo beautiful. We will most likely be contacting you next year so that we can visit again - I don't think we would ever go anywhere but Puerto now!!!!  Even just being able to watch the dolphins every day would bring us back.  Doug, thank you so much for letting us know about this condo and setting everything up for us - this really was the best trip we have ever had to Mexico.  Freezing in Winnipeg, Shannon, Jason, Delaney, Nevin, Brenda

Buena Vida was so much more than what we expected and we got really spoiled while we were there.  The condo has all of the comforts of home and then some.  The kitchen was so well stocked and clean, clean, clean.  We really hated to leave to  continue our adventure in Cozumel.  We would definitely recommend to our friends and may end up coming back again next year. It sure beats staying a tiny cramped hotel room, and actually more cost effective!  Julie Boyer,

Mona -- we received the check today.  Thanks for sending it so quickly.   We had a wonderful stay in Puerto Aventuras -- the condo is beautiful, and it was nice to know that Judy and Gerry were available if we needed anything.  We've rented many condos, and this was by far the best-equipped.  We really appreciated the attention to detail (and the mid-week cleaning service!).   Our two little girls had so much fun on the beach and in the pool.  Our 3-year-old still talks about it every day.  We will definitely be back!    Thanks again to you, Doug and Twyla, and Gerry and Judy for a great vacation --   Lisa, Jeff, Isabelle and Alexandra, May 2005
