Casa Caleta is a wonderfully private 6000 square foot vacation villa bordering gorgeous Yalku Lagoon near Akumal Mexico. 

Casa Caleta is on the west side of Yalku Lagoon in a newly developed, gated, neighbourhood.  The access is not direct from Akumal but off of highway 307 just north of the main entrance to Akumal. 

All of the villas here are set back slightly from Yalku Lagoon offering fabulous privacy.  A short stroll down your private boardwalk leads you from the villa to the waters edge. 

Yalku Lagoon is a snorkelers delight.  This water wonderland meanders through a cenote out to the ocean proper.  Endless hours will be spent frolicking with the fish while you explore this natural paradise.  All you need is a mask, snorkel, fins and your curiosity.    
 


One step inside of Casa Caleta and you will be taken by the spaciousness of the villa. 

The open, airy feel is accented by a wonderfully soothing blend of natural elements.  Extensive use of glass, stone, brick, and wood, meld the indoor and outdoor environments into one. 

At Casa Caleta the beauty and serenity of nature are part of the architectural design and focus.  With a home this thoughtfully designed and decorated amidst a park like setting carved out of the jungle, one is never left to forget that this  truly is a special place.


The main interior living space consists of a living room, dining room and kitchen.  This common area is spacious, bright and airy with floor to ceiling glass making it difficult to define where the villa ends and the outdoors begin.

An expansive central living room is highlighted by very large U shaped couch facing the pool, lawns and jungle beyond.  A smaller sitting area off to the side is equipped with Satellite TV, DVD player and stereo.  A half bath is conveniently located off to the side.

The entire living room is capped in a gigantic red brick dome 'bovida' which is quite spectacular.  At night subtle lighting dances off of the red brick, creating a feeling of elegance and serenity.
 


 Off to the side of the living room is a formal dining room with seating for 12.  Open to the dining area is a large, well equipped kitchen.  Both rooms share the same fabulous pool, garden  and jungle view. 

Slipping just outside the sliding glass doors for a moment.....

You are treated to a very large thatch roofed palapa providing another inviting place for guests to gather. 

A large table with seating for 12 with gas grill near by, invites you to dine al-fresco.

Hammocks and lounge chairs call out for a mid day nap while the kids splash about in the pool, or play volleyball or soccer on the large lawn.


Back inside......

A bright hallway extending the length of the villa ties the 4 enormous bedrooms to the main living areas.  This striking passage is full of ambient light from the massive windows and provides a running mural of a manicured lawn and natural jungle beyond.

The bedrooms are much larger than you find in the average villa in this area. 

The first bedroom on your right has two Queen beds, sofa, vanity area, plus en-suite bath complete with jacuzzi type tub and shower.
 


The next bedroom is the Master suite with King bed under a beautiful red brick domed bovida.  It is multi level, with sitting area and attached en-suite featuring an open air shower and jacuzzi type tub.
 

 Continuing down the hall and around the corner you reach a very large children's bedroom.  It has 2 Queens and 6 single beds.  Four of these singles are bunk style with ladders climbing up to their lofty position.  A very large bathroom with double sinks and two open air showers is well set up to accommodate the group.

The last bedroom is also very large.  It has two Double beds and two Singles.  Attached en-suite has double sinks plus one open air and one indoor shower.

** Base Rate is for up to 8 persons.  Add $500 per week for each additional person.  ($250 for children 9 years of age or under) NOTE: children over 2 years of age at time of arrival are considered in the head count at this villa.  The maximum occupancy is 18 people (no more than 12 adults). 
** Minimum 7 nights high season, (Saturday to Saturday) 5 nights in mid and 4 nights in low season (prefer over one Saturday to Saturday week)
*** There is a $1000 Security/Damage deposit on this villa. 
**** Access to this property is limited to the persons indicated on your confirmation.   Exceeding this limit is a direct violation of our rental agreement and will result in a forfeit of the security deposit and could be reason to ask you to vacate. Parties, dinners, get-togethers, drop in visitors, or any other form of access involving non registered guests, will also result in a forfeit of the security deposit unless prior permission has been granted.
