Villa Laguna Encantada nestled in a lush tropical setting with private access to Yalku Lagoon, is the perfect hideaway for a family, yoga retreat, wedding or other special event.

This 6000 square foot villa with plenty of open areas for a group to gather, has 4 large bedrooms, 2 of which are enormous bedrooms with plenty of beds.  These 2 versatile bedrooms can be used for adults, the kids dorm or an entire family.  An extremely spacious living room, large dining areas inside and out, a rooftop palapa viewing and sunning area.... plus a gorgeous free form pool... and the thoughtful use of natural stone, hand made brick, local hardwoods and soft colors, all contribute to the zen like quality of the home.

This impressive villa has private access to Yalku Lagoon which is a snorkelling paradise AND... a community shared tennis court just steps from the villa.

Located in a small gated community with private security, villa Laguna Encantada offers the utmost in privacy and safety.

Pull into the driveway and meander down a boardwalk path, speckled with shadows of filtered sun,  through a tropical garden of lush green plants, to the impressive entryway to the villa.  Step inside and the tranquility only strengthens..... as the barrier between indoor and outdoor living is so effortlessly passed back and forth.

A wall of glass along the bedroom wing hallway melds indoor and outdoor into one.  An enormous frontage of glass doorways in the living and dining room areas, that seem they should never be shut, open to an impressive large thatch palapa and then the pool just beyond.

The entry foyer is large and flows into an expansive living room that spills out to the covered dining area with solid wood dining table with seating for 12.  A flat screen TV and speakers from the sound system, allow make this the most inviting and used area of the home.

On of the impressive features of the home is the enormous vaulted red brick dome ceiling in the living room.  It is not only a work of art to be admired, but opens the room even more creating an amazing airy feel.

The living room has 3 large and comfy sofas so lots of space for everyone to gather.

Also off of the living room is a TV room and half bath.

 The dining room of Laguna Encantada is just off of the living room and also has glass doorways which open to the outdoors.

An impressively large kitchen with all of the amenities is open to the dining room and so shares in the airy, at one with nature, ambiance.

A long L shaped hallway runs to the bedrooms.  The entire length of this hall has floor to ceiling glass framed by character full wood pillars of native hardwood. 

The first bedroom has 2 Queen beds, sitting area and attached en-suite bathroom with tub.  Like the other bathrooms in the home.  Extensive use of natural cut marble and stone is used extensively and with great taste.

The master suite like all of the bedrooms, is large and tastefully decorated with an accent on natural earth tone colors.  An attached en-suite bathroom has his and her sinks, jetted tub and stand alone shower.

The third bedroom at Laguna Encantada is set up almost like a dorm with 2 Queen beds and 6 single beds.  4 of these singles are elevated.  There is a large en-suite bathroom with twin sinks in one area and the toilets and shower in another so well set up for a group sharing the room.

The fourth bedroom has 2 Queen beds and 2 singles.  This bedroom also has attached en-suite bathroom with twin sinks and separate toilet & shower area.

The roof of Laguna Encantada has a peaceful 'Mirador' or viewing area where you can take in the sunrise or sunset as it sprinkles light across the tree tops.

A gorgeous free form swimming pool with lush lawn and gardens surrounding provide an ideal place to cool off and relax.

A bar-b-que area just off of the outdoor dining area invites you to grill up a steak, hamburgers for the kids or that fresh fish you caught this morning.

Laguna Encantada is in a very  private location bordering gorgeous Yalku Lagoon near Akumal Mexico. 

The villa on the west side of Yalku Lagoon in small, gated, neighbourhood with private security.  The access is not direct from Akumal but off of highway 307 just north of the main entrance to Akumal. 

All of the villas in the community are surrounded by lush tropical plants and set back slightly from Yalku Lagoon, adding to the privacy.  A short stroll down your private boardwalk past fresh water cenotes will lead you from the villa to the waters edge. 

Yalku Lagoon is a snorkelers delight.  This water wonderland meanders through a cenote out to the ocean proper.  Endless hours will be spent frolicking with the fish while you explore this natural paradise.  All you need is a mask, snorkel, fins and your curiosity.
