Casa Mariposa (Butterfly House) has undergone a metamorphosis into something very special.  This fully air conditioned, 3500 sq. ft. Puerto Aventuras oceanfront villa is stylishly comfortable, offers many unique design features, is loaded with amenities, and within walking distance to numerous activities and services.   

Wonderful Indo-Pacific furniture in bamboo, rattan, and exotic woods, set off against lovely fabrics, blend well with quality American soft leather pieces.  Mexican tiles, cultured marble, colourfully washed walls, and handcrafted finishing's, all mix well to create a richly inviting villa that will swallow up the stress of your life back home.

As you enter Casa Mariposa, you are immediately drawn right through the house and onto the deck to take a closer look at the gorgeous deep blue Caribbean water. After a few moments savouring the view and warm tropical air, you are well on your way to shedding the stresses of home.  Now you are ready to step inside, find your bedroom, and shed those travel clothes into something much cooler and more casual.  However, deciding which bedroom might be difficult with 4 gorgeous suites to choose from.

Right off of the patio area of Casa Mariposa is the 'Sunrise Suite' with a view to die for.  This cheerful oceanfront bedroom has a King bed, attached bathroom with shower, and a slider providing easy access to the terrace, pool, and ocean only steps beyond. 

The second of the four bedroom suites offered at Casa Mariposa can be found on this level near the entrance. The 'High Noon Suite' has Twin beds that can be put together to form a King, attached bathroom with shower, and French doors opening up to a private terrace with a lovely view of the garden.

Casa Mariposa centers around a very open living/dining area that is glassed to the pool/ocean front. This room vaults up through the second floor to a domed ceiling, creating a very open and dramatic effect. A collection of couches and chairs provide places to lounge while you visit or enjoy the view. On one wall is an entertainment center with stereo, large screen TV with satellite, and a DVD player, just in case you get tired of the view.   

The dining room has a beautiful cut Mayan stone wall that is quite striking, a large dining table, and chairs to sit eight. In addition, there is bar seating next to the dining table with a pass through from the full kitchen.  A table and chairs poolside invites you to enjoy your meals al-fresco.

The vaulted living area rises up through the middle of the second floor, providing separation with the floor below, but not isolation. Arched windows toward the garden and ocean allow natural light in and more of those stupendous views.  

Heading upstairs in Casa Mariposa you will find two gorgeous Master suites.  Both of these are very large and afford fabulous ocean views. Each suite has King bed, en-suite bathroom with shower, and private indoor sitting areas to enjoy the spectacular ocean views. Each suite has a domed ceiling. 

The dome in the 'Sunset Suite' is done in traditional Mexican hand made brick. The sitting area in this suite, has a leather couch providing a very private place for the guests.  This couch is a sofa bed which can be used to sleep 2 young children in their parents bedroom.

The 'Midnight Suite' of Casa Mariposa is the other Master suite and equally well appointed.  Deep earth tones and textures provide a rich, luxuriously casual feel to the room which is sure to please.

Casa Mariposa is located on a flat rocky shoreline in the exclusive 'las Rocas' area of the resort/residential community of Puerto Aventuras.  The shoreline in front of the villa offers spectacular vistas, well appreciated privacy, and lazy hours spent combing the shore for treasures.  On a calm day snorkelling in front of the villa is spectacular.  A short stroll from the villa along the rocky oceanfront is the Dreams Hotel beach with its' protected bay and sandy beach.  Even more appealing is the beach in front of the Omni Hotel which is accessible from the village center, a short 10 - 15 minute walk away.

"Wow, what a blessing this vacation was!! We came as a group of eight. Each of us will take back memories of this beautiful land, from the view right in front of our villa to the beautiful views of Tulum. Our amazing day at Tres Rios & Chichen Itza to our day of shopping in Playa del Carmen. And our days of just lounging around the villa and marina....so peaceful. If there is one thing you shouldn't miss it is Tres Rios. We did the all-inclusive package ($75.00) and we got to ride horses, kayak, bike ride, drive reef runners, and snorkel. All our drinks and lunch were included. It was an amazing day. We also met some amazing people here. Gina, Rufino, & Cheli are the nicest people around. Definitely have Cheli make dinner for you. She's an awesome cook. Check out the shipwreck museum located in the marina. Very interesting things to see.
