Casa Mediterranea, located in Puerto Aventuras Mexico, is perfectly placed in the heart of the Riviera Maya, just one short hour's drive south of Cancun.   Renovated in 2004 this oceanfront villa is one of only a few private vacation homes within the gated resort community of Puerto Aventuras.   A short 20 minute drive south of Playa del Carmen Mexico and 15 minutes north of Akumal Mexico, this vacation rental is centrally positioned to all of the spectacular area attractions.  But why go anywhere when within walking distance of Casa Mediterranean, the village of Puerto Aventuras offers restaurants, bars, shopping, golf, tennis, snorkelling, diving, swim with dolphins, deep sea fishing charters, parasailing and of course.... the BEACH 

 From the off street parking, a stone pathway leads you through a tranquil garden and to the entrance of Casa Mediterranean.  Along this path you will pass the 'Garden Casita.'  This detached suite is the 5th bedroom.  It has a King bed, en-suite bathroom with shower, and offers a little extra privacy.

Idle time will be spent around the pool, strolling the shoreline in search of treasures or resting on a chaise lounge upon your bedroom terrace watching the passage of dive boats, deep sea fishing charters or the lazy movement of a sailboat crossing the horizon.

Entering into Casa Mediterranea you are immediately taken by the bright airy environment, stunning view of the blue Caribbean waters and that heavenly breath of fresh sea air.  Rich hardwoods and cooling marble accents provide a Mediterranean flair.

The central living area of Casa Mediterranea has a comfortable living room to enjoy the view, each others' company, or settle into a movie on the satellite TV. 

An oceanfront dining area, with teak dining table imported from Indonesia, is off to the side.  There is plenty of room for 8 at the table and space for 2 more at the pass through bar leading into the kitchen.

The kitchen at Casa Mediterranean is classy and inviting.  It is fully equipped with everything one needs to prepare all of your meals at the villa, but why when you can spoil yourself with a delicious traditional Mexican meal prepared and served exclusively for you in the comfort of the villa or enjoy one of the 12 near-by Puerto Aventuras restaurants.

On the ground floor of Casa Mediterranea there are two lovely bedrooms with attached en-suite bathrooms.  The Ibiza suite is oceanfront with a Queen size bed and French doors which provide a private walkout to the pool. 

The other suite opens to the garden side of the property.  The twin beds in this room can be converted to a King size bed, should you prefer.

On the second floor of the villa there are two oceanfront bedrooms with attached en-suite bathrooms, King size pillow top beds and private terraces.  The terraces provide the perfect place for you and someone special to enjoy a morning coffee or night cap before bed.

Casa Mediterranea is located on a flat rocky shoreline in the exclusive 'las Rocas' area of the resort/residential community of Puerto Aventuras.  The shoreline in front of the villa offers spectacular vistas, well appreciated privacy, and lazy hours spent combing the shore for treasures.  On a calm day snorkelling in front of the villa is spectacular.  A short stroll from the villa is the Dreams Hotel beach with its' protected bay and sandy beach.  Even more appealing is the beach in front of the Omni Hotel which is accessible from the village center, a short stroll away.

Guests of Casa Mediterranea are permitted access to the Omni Hotel's Beach Club.  (15 minute walk from villa)  This private club allows members to use of the hotel swimming pool, chaise lounges & umbrellas, beach towels and the services of their beach and swim-up pool bars.  Guests only need pay for food and drinks which are offered at a discount to club members.

Had an Awesome time!  View and privacy was the best.  Great place to stay.  We would come back in a heart beat.  Weather was fabulous and the steady breeze a plus... Swimming with the dolphins in PA was good!  Splurge for the dolphin rides$$... That makes the whole experience worth while.  Definitely go to Chichen Itza it is worth the long drive of 2 hrs there + 2 hrs back.  Go toward Tulum and past Coba to get there (don't go into Coba as we did)  We got lost but had fun...  May 6-12,2006  Seattle WA.

Awesome Week!  The view is wonderful.  The sun won't let you sleep past 7 AM, but that's OK.  Everything around Puerto Aventuras is nice.  Try Snuba Cat... wonderful crew and very much worth every penny.   Food choices were good.  This was a GREAT vacation and I'm sad to see it end.  I would definitely consider coming again.  March 11,2006 H. What a great time we had.  We were 10 in total.  6 adults, 4 children (6, 4, 2.5, 1)  this was perfect for us.  The casita was used as the 'nap room' for both children & adults.  Did a few tourist things, but ended up spending 2 days at XpuHa - 6 beach.  Most beautiful beach around.  We suggest you travel there.  Sandy white beach and you can rent chairs and umbrellas.  Jan. 2006

We brought our whole family here for the first time on vacation together.  It was nice to be in a great setting and be together.  Our favourite was dinner by Cheli and her family.  She is an amazing cook.  Order in as much as possible, we never found better food anywhere.  Thanks  The O'Hara family Sept. 2005

The staff is lovely & the view is fabulous - Be sure & go to Oscar and Lalo in Tankha.  We rented kayaks, paddled out to the reef & snorkelled - followed by wonderful ceviche at the restaurant & cold vino blanco & Modelo - The lagoon at Playa Akumal & La Buena Vida for lunch.  Great place for kids. lagoon is very calm and restaurant very kid friendly - At the marina DO NOT eat dinner at Gringo Daves.  DO eat breakfast there - Tiramisu is great for dinner.  The birthday cake from Cafe-Cafe was wonderful.  Great place, great staff.  CN March 22, 2004

The 11 of us had the time of our lives.  We are lucky parents to have 5 children, 1 fiancé, and 1 boyfriend who are all so close and loving.  We did the Jungle Tour on 4-wheelers (fabulous), went to Xelha (wonderful snorkelling), sailed on Reataila (exciting and beautiful), played golf & tennis and had many wonderful meals together.  Also spent a day at the Omni beach playing football and in the waves.  The staff was so gracious.  All we can say is 'Beautiful one day, Perfect the next'  Christmas 2004
