Designed and built by the same architect/construction team that did such a wonderful job with Villa Yardena and Casa Iguana, Moon Star continues the tradition of offering it's owners and guests an environment that accentuates the natural beauty of the area, while offering luxury in a non pretentious way.  

Great care has been taken to design around the vegetation in order to preserve the eco system and put it center stage along side the ocean, beach and marvellous views.  The result is that these homes although sizeable, look and feel like they belong here.  This is not an easy task when transforming what was a nearly deserted bay a few years ago, into the very desirable destination it has quickly become.  It also speaks highly of the owners and their respect of this very special place.  Some less sensitive would be inclined to build monuments to themselves.

From the moment you pull the rental car into the gated carport and step out, you will be taken by this tropical oasis.  Follow a winding path through a natural garden of sand and exotic plants to the entrance of this stunning home.  Once inside you will immediately appreciate the thought and time that has gone into the design, finishing and furnishings.  

The entranceway leads into an ample open area where you will find the living and dining rooms with kitchen off to the side.  The decor is an extension of the exterior environment with earth tones, natural fibres and the owners fabulously unique collection of sea shell art work.  

The built in wrap around couch is large and done in quality fabrics with numerous throw pillows for you to curl up to and relax while enjoying the view or each others company.  The dining room set is of wicker, wood and glass with plenty of room for six.  Unique mirrors, colorful prints and interesting objects de art finish off the room.

The attached kitchen opens up to the living space on one side and offers views of the garden  to the other.  Except for a dishwasher, the kitchen is fully set up for preparing and serving everything from a small snack to a special gourmet meal.

The entire frontage is glass windows and sliders that lead out to a covered patio, pool and the beach just beyond.  You will be hard pressed not to want to do all of your dining out here around the pool with a large patio table set providing the perfect location.  A charcoal bar-b-que, chaise lounges and the inviting pool finish off this appealing area.
 

A half bath and laundry room can be found in the hallway leading to the Media room.  This large oceanfront room with private full bath features a king bed/couch and built in entertainment center with Plasma TV, DVD, CD with a small selection of DVD's and CD's.  The CD player is wired to provide music to the pool, living/dining area and both upstairs terraces.  In addition there is a 'take a book - leave a book' library should you run out of reading material while here. 

A slider affords a wonderful view of the pool and easy access to the covered terrace.

Upstairs on the second floor are two side by side large air conditioned oceanfront bedrooms with King size beds and attached bathrooms with showers.  They open up to a very large thatched roof terrace that really shows off the view.  There are chaise lounges, viewing chairs with table, bar set, wet counter area with fridge and a small Webber grill all providing plenty of options for fully enjoying this great feature.  

Carrying on up to the third level will take you to the penthouse bedroom and yet another terrace.  This is most certainly a room with a view.  The thatched palapa roof is a very nice feature but does not allow for air conditioning making this the only room in the villa without.  However, the many windows, elevation and height of the ceiling should not make this a problem,  In fact those who don't like sleeping with A/C will really enjoy waking up here to the lapping sound of the ocean on the seashore.  A large attached bathroom with shower completes the bedroom.

The terrace leading into and wrapping around front of this bedroom is perfect for sunning or enjoying a very private morning coffee.  Of course chaise lounges and a table with chairs are provided to make this space all the more inviting.
