Hacienda la Mision

La Mision Puerto Aventuras is a lovely Mexican Mayan Riviera hacienda style home located in Puerto Aventuras Mexico on a calm Caribbean ocean inlet that provides boat access for the select few private homes sharing this quiet water way.  (see Riviera Maya map)    (see Puerto Aventuras map)  Originally designed as a charming bed & breakfast with 6 lovely, identical, waterfront bedrooms, today Hacienda la Mision is offered as a private weekly rental.

From the moment you open the large hand carved wooden doors to enter the villa, you will sample the simple yet stylish charm and tranquility that this villa has to offer.  Hacienda la Mision will provide you with all the necessary ingredients to truly unwind from the stresses of your hectic lives at home, or can be used as a fabulous base to rejuvenate yourself at after a day of exploring some of what this wonderful area has to offer.   

The waterway inlet extends onto the property where the owners have landscaped the bank and imported a little sand from the nearby beach to create a small private salt water pool for you to cool off in.  If it is the real thing you desire,  there is a gorgeous powdery white sand beach with a protected bay, just across the street that is calling out to you.  This is a great location for tanning, swimming or even snorkeling.   Or just a short walk away is the fabulous Omni Hotel and Beach Club.  Entrance to this wonderful facility if open to the public.  This is a great place to spend the day while enjoying the beach, pool, beach bar, restaurant, volleyball and other services that are available.

Each of the 6 identical bedrooms at Hacienda la Mision are of an equal size and offering.  They all face the water, have private terraces or balconies with hammocks, and are stylishly decorated with hand carved doors & headboards, hand woven bed spreads, stained glass windows, and imported Spanish tiles.  All bedrooms are equipped with 2 double beds, private bathroom with shower, and individual A/C units.

The common areas are spaced around the villa and grounds to allow room for everyone to get together or to escape for some private time.  A lovely central courtyard with fountain and lush garden, has tables and chairs for you to enjoy a meal out of doors, share in a game, or to simply sit and relax in this tranquil setting.

There is a large indoor dining room attached to a lounge area where you can watch TV, read a book from the small library, or visit with your family and friends.  Just off of this large open area is the kitchen, which is equipped with everything you need to prepare anything from a snack to a full meal.  For those  not wanting to worry about cooking, La Mision offers a special 'Relax & Enjoy' meal package for $130 per person.  This includes breakfast every morning and four dinners to choose from our menu during the week.  These meals will be prepared in your villa by Fidel & Rosario, a wonderful couple who are the caretakers of La Mision.  Or for those who just want breakfast before they head off on their day, we offer the 'Worry Free' full breakfast package for $55. per person.

Besides the proximity to the beach, Hacienda la Mision is within walking distance to many activities and services including free access to the fabulous Omni Beach Hotel, golf, tennis, deep sea fishing, scuba diving, swim with dolphins, restaurants, shopping, and more.    Puerto Aventuras offers many options for guests with restaurants, bars, shopping, golf, diving, tennis, swim with dolphins, deep sea fishing, sailing charters, parasailing and other activities & services within walking distance of the villa.
