Located on the northern end of beautiful Tankah Bay near Tulum, Villa Orquidea (the Orchid House) is a spacious and most inviting, 3600 sq. ft (335 sq. mt) vacation villa highlighted by stunning design detail, hand crafted furnishings & finish, tasteful art from around the world, a full list of amenities and of course a post card perfect beachfront location.

This end of Tankah Bay is in the leeward side of the prevailing wind creating a gorgeous beach with calm water.  Post card perfect will surely come to mind upon first sight.

Arriving at villa Orquidea you will find the property walled with an ornate wrought iron gate opening to a large parking area.  Once inside the grounds you will discover a lush tropical garden of exotic plants and a ramped pathway meandering through the foilage. 

Near the street side of the property is a little house where the on site staff couple live.  Just beyond this within view of the ocean is a 2 storey Guest House.  A little deeper in and you come upon the main villa.

Upon entering villa Orquidea you will be thrilled to discover a capacious, bright, common space with an 18 foot high floor to ceiling wall of windows captivating the most incredible Caribbean view.  These windows slide open allowing indoor and outdoor living to flow effortlessly.

On the main floor facing the pool and ocean is a large open space with a sitting area, dining table and kitchen.  This opens to a covered terrace that runs the length of the villa.  On this terrace is another dining table so you can enjoy dining al-fresco.

The kitchen is open and enjoys the same great view.  A large island not only offers additional counter space but doubles as a breakfast bar.

Just off of the kitchen a half bath/powder room is conveniently situated.

Also on the ground floor of villa Orquidea is a large oceanfront bedroom suite with en-suite bathroom, King bed and walkout to a pool side covered terrace.

A well thought out design feature of Villa Orquidea is a winding staircase which pushes up through the villa to the second level and further to the rooftop.  This staircase with handcrafted wrought iron rail and recessed niches to display art work will treat you to more impressive views of the ocean as well as interesting perspectives of the home.
On the second level a wide bridge that is open to the common area below and offering more ocean views, runs the length of the villa to connect two more bedroom suites.

Both of the 2nd level bedroom suites are large with attached en-suite bath and oceanfront terraces.  One of the bedrooms has a day bed suitable for a child.

The 3rd bedroom suite in the main villa is equal to the others with the same quality and attention to detail. 

The rooftop of Villa Orquidea is where you will want to head to celebrate the end of your day with a cool sun downer drink or for some intimate star gazing late at night. 

Set back slightly from the main villa but maintaining an oceanfront view, is the 2 storey guest house with a cozy self contained suites on each level.  These 2 suites offer a little extra privacy without sacrificing any of the comfort or attention to detail that is throughout this gorgeous oceanfront property.

The ground floor guest house suite has a large covered terrace with dining table and chaise lounges.  Inside is an ample sitting area, dining table, kitchen, King size bed and bathroom with shower.

The second floor guest house at Villa Orquidea is equally cute and cozy.  It too is fully self contained with kitchen and dining area.  It has a private terrace with chaise lounges and small table to enjoy your morning coffee while savouring that fabulous ocean air.

Up on the roof top of the guest house with exterior access so everyone can enjoy, is a mirador that is perfectly situated to enjoy the sun setting over the jungle.

* Rates are in US dollars, include taxes and subject to change until reservation is confirmed
** Base Rate is for up to 8 persons.  Add $500 per week for each additional person.  ($250 for children 9 years of age or under) NOTE: children over 2 years of age at time of arrival are considered in the head count at this villa.  Maximum occupancy is 12 people (no more than 10 adults)
*** Minimum 7 nights high season, 5 nights in mid and 4 nights in low season
**** There is a refundable $500 Security/Damage deposit on this villa
***** Access to this property is limited to the persons indicated on your confirmation.  Exceeding this limit is a direct violation of our rental agreement.  Parties, dinners, get-togethers, drop in guests, or any other form of non registered guest access will result in a forfeit of the security deposit and could be reason to ask you to leave unless prior permission has been granted.
