Pura Vida or 'Pure Life' is an expression I frequently heard while in Costa Rica.  It is most often blurted out when someone wishes to let the world know just how happy they are to be alive!   The expression found a place in my heart and I too have found myself using it on many occasions while living here on the Riviera Maya of Mexico.  One such time was upon my first visit to this spacious, fully appointed, Puerto Aventuras penthouse condo that the owners have so generously made available as a vacation rental. 

Located within the resort/residential community of Puerto Aventuras at the prestigious  Villas del Mar condo complex, with the best pool and beach Puerto Aventuras has to offer, life does not get much better.  While spoiling yourself at this luxurious Puerto Aventuras Mexico condo.  You too may find yourself laying in a hammock on the terrace, savouring another sunrise over the crystal blue Caribbean ocean and announcing to the world....  'Pura Vida'

With 4150 square feet of luxurious space to spread out over, you certainly won't feel cramped in this colourful Villas del Mar penthouse vacation rental condo.

Pura Vida is part of Puerto Aventuras' premier condo complex, Villas del Mar.  This upscale development has a large pool, expansive green space, private tennis court, off street parking, a great beach and close proximity to the village center.   Of course, all of this is only available if you can drag yourself away from the terrace with its' wonderful view, then past that great swimming pool and beyond the gin clear Caribbean waters.  

he Puerto Aventuras vacation rental condo that we affectionately refer to as 'Pura Vida', is on the 2nd & 3rd floors up from ground of the Villas del Mar 'D' building.  (no elevator in this building)  The layout of the Villas del Mar complex is in a horseshoe pattern giving all buildings a view of the pool and ocean. The D building is the second building in from the ocean and boasts a fabulous panoramic view. (see above)

Once you step into the condo entranceway,  you are immediately taken by the bright open feel that the design and finishing provide.  Straight ahead is the living room with 3 couches providing ample sitting area.  A TV with Cable and DVD is there should you want it, but the true viewing pleasure is through the wall of sliding glass doors that slip right back into the wall before leading out to the terrace with the pool and ocean just beyond. 

The terrace has an outdoor dining table for 8 to dine au fresco or share a sundowner while you review all that you did or didn't do that day.  A gas bar-b-que tucked to the side is there to grill up a steak or the catch of the day.  Later on after the sun has tucked itself in for the night, you may want to snuggle into the soaking tub or lay out in the double hammock and watch the stars as they twinkle.

Off to the side of the living room is a large wet bar with shutters that pass through to the kitchen.  The full size kitchen on the other side is colourful and cheery.  You will find it well stocked with the dishware and appliances  required to prepare meals in or to entertain.  A large refrigerator provides plenty of space to store food and those all so important refreshments.  A pass through counter from the kitchen to the dining room opens the kitchen up so the cook is not left out.  3 stools on the dining room side make a good place to hang out with the cook or provide extra seating at meal times.  The dining room has a large table with seating for 8.

Off to the other side of the living room is the first of 4 bedrooms.  This one has a King bed, private sitting area inside and small terrace overlooking the pool.  Another door leading out to a hallway gives access to a bathroom with shower.  Although not connected directly to the bedroom, the positioning of the hallway makes this bathroom quite private.

Following down the hallway back towards the entranceway you pass the stairs going up to the second level.  At the top of the stairs is a very inviting sitting area that begs you to grab a book and sit down.  Three bedroom entrances radiate out from here.

The center bedroom is a very large master suite with King bed.  A sitting area provides privacy should the occupants desire some alone time.  A small terrace will draw you for morning coffee or romantic sundowner.  The real jewel of this room is the Jacuzzi tub with a view.   WOW.... even if you don't like taking baths you will want to draw a tub here.  There is also a separate shower.

On either side of the master suite are two large bedrooms.  Each of these have two Queen beds and attached en-suite bathroom with shower.  Both of these bedrooms have small terraces so you can sit outside and take in that wonderful view and warm tropical weather.

        * hair dryers
        * bath & beach towels provided.  Bath towels changed mid week

        * Rentals of more than 1 week are at check out unless otherwise agreed.  
        * Additional cleanings available with sufficient notice at approximately $25 - $35 per cleaning.
