CAFE - CAFE: street side near Italian Bakery This bright deli-bakery with high speed internet service and the cheapest long distance telephone rates, is a very welcome addition to Puerto. Stop in to catch up on your emails, for a light breakfast, lunch or fabulously fresh desert with coffee and meet friendly owners Mimi from Denmark & Daniel from Mexico DF. TREBOL SPORTS BAR & MARINA CAFE: on the marina. (formerly Jones Sports Bar) With the passing of Bill, this long standing watering hole has new owners, new attitude and a totally new look. Besides having the nicest restrooms of any restaurant or bar in Puerto, they serve some of the best dinners too. After 6:00 PM this comfortable sports bar transforms itself into a salon environment inside for evening sports fans and a linen clothed al fresco fine dining environment outside. CAFÉ OLE: street side across from Omni Hotel. Wide variety of dishes from Mexican to American with seafood and daily specials too. Try the Texas style bar-b-que and salad bar. Popular spot with locals and visitors alike, good food and fabulous home made pies. Owner's Gary and Gail bring in live music frequently and can often be found on stage with them. ITALIAN BAKERY: street side near Cafe-Cafe Internet. "Not just a bakery" A local favorite offering pizza and other good, reasonably priced, meals. Daily specials are often a great choice. A favorite for breakfast. They do take-away pizzas too. Telephone 52 (984) 873-5651

XENOTE: on the ocean in Omni hotel. Serving Mayan, Yucatecan and International dishes. Beautiful setting for quiet breakfast or romantic dinner. Dine in the comfort of Air Conditioning at Puerto's only indoor restaurant. Or dine outdoors on the patio enjoying the view. Telephone 52 (984) 875-1950

THE PUB: on the marina. The pub offers a ice cold beer and decent pub fare. Serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. Good food, daily specials, and decent prices make this a local favorite and worth finding. Ideal spot to settle in and watch the dolphin show Telephone 52 (984) 873-5130

BLACKBEARDS: on the marina but a little set back and hidden. Blackbeards Sports' Bar is tucked in the corner behind the Pub and owned by the same owner 'Joel' so shares the same kitchen. Pool table, games, large screen TV's and drafts all in A/C comfort await you.

MASSIMO: on the marina between Richards & Tiramu Su. Chef/owner Massimo offers up absolutely delicious fresh Italian fare in a casual atmosphere. At this writing the restaurant was newly opened. The service was horrific but the food well worth waiting for. Massimo seemed very aware of the deficiencies and so hopefully the service will improve. If not come early before the crowd. OMNI HOTEL LOBBY BAR: on the ocean in Omni hotel. Enjoy a cold drink and light snack at this casual bar that is open to the public. Telephone 52 (984) 875-1950

OMNI BEACH BAR/CLUB: on the beach at Omni hotel. Aside from a private oceanfront villa rental, this just might be the best hang out in all of Puerto Aventuras. A bar with one side on the nicest beach in Puerto and the other side in the pool, PLUS delicious snacks and service to your lounge chair either on the beach or around the pool, AND great snorkeling right out front, make this a place you may not want to leave all day. GRINGO DAVE'S: on the far side of marina. Tex-Mex grill and cantina. Gringo Dave like many of the people running businesses in Puerto Aventuras, is a bit of a character and always has a story to tell. Dave often brings in live entertainment so a good option for an evening drink and/or meal. Telephone 52 (984) 139-1607

WAHOO SPORTS BAR & GRILL: on the far side of marina next to gringo Daves. Cold drinks, hot bar-b-que, pool table and TV's broadcasting your favorite game. Bring in your catch of the day and they will prepare it for you here.

DOS CHILES: on the marina. The only place in Puerto for Mexican cuisine. A good vantage point to have a drink or snack while you watch the dolphins perform. Telephone 52 (984) 873-5783

AZUL TEQUILA BAR & INTERNET: on the marina between the Pub & Aquanauts dive shop. Enjoy a drink and some Mexican snacks while you keep in touch with home at this internet cafe.

PALAPA MANATI: along the marina near the small fishing boats: Climb into a swing at the bar or pick a table in the sand under the shade of a palapa. This bar & restaurant serves cold drinks and light snacks. A good stop for lunch. Don't miss the manatees, stingrays, and sea lions swimming in the grotto behind this very casual restaurant/bar.

TACO PACO: Moved south of Puerto Aventuras to the NEXT PEMEX gas station. The original much loved 'Paco' has moved on to Guadalajara but his delicious taco recipe carries on. Squeezed out of Puerto by the development but still close enough and the tacos good enough to make the trip. Serving up some of the best and freshest fish and shrimp tacos this side of Cabo, all made to order right in front of you.
