Boasting a spacious, open, and bright 6,900 sq. ft. with 6 nearly equal oceanfront bedrooms, Villa Valhalla is the perfect Akumal vacation villa for a large group who doesn't want to draw straws to see who gets the best room.  

With an enviable Akumal location on the southern end of tranquil Half Moon Bay, Villa Valhalla is only a short stroll to the Akumal commercial center meaning there is no need for a vehicle here.  Within walking distance of Villa Valhalla are restaurants, bars, dive shops, convenience stores, gift shops, ATM, snorkelling excursions and deep sea fishing charters.

Villa Valhalla lends itself perfectly for entertaining.  Large, inviting and open communal areas inside and out allow the group to comfortably spend time together preparing and/or sharing a meal, lounging around the pool, exchanging conversation, experiencing the fabulous views or watching a movie.

Villa Valhalla is unique to Akumal with 6 ample oceanfront bedrooms, all outfitted with en-suite bathrooms, covered viewing terraces, internet connections and TV with both satellite and DVD players.  All of the Villa Valhalla bedrooms have Twin beds that can be converted into Kings.  Plus a futon couch that can be made up as a Queen bed.  This combination provides a great amount of flexibility to configure the sleeping arrangements to each groups needs.

After you pull in to the off street parking and enter Villa Valhalla, you will be taken by how deceivingly small the villa looks from the street. 

An ample entry foyer opens up to an expansive great room that stretches further out and on to a large covered terrace facing the pool and ocean.

The great room at Villa Valhalla is .... well .... GREAT .... for gathering and entertaining.  It is warm, airy and casually inviting. 

With a wall full of sliding glass doors leading out to a large covered terrace with additional living and dining areas, this truly does become a GREAT ROOM...

The 2 dining tables each seat 10 comfortably and are separated by a sliding glass door.

Villa Valhalla expansive and fully outfitted kitchen extends the other direction from the great room.  It opens to the dining area with a large pass through ensuring that even when in the kitchen, you are still not out of the flow of conversation.

On the ground floor of Villa Valhalla are 2 of the 6 en-suite bedrooms.  All of the bedrooms are of a similar size and layout.  Each bedroom has Twin beds that can be set up as a King size.  Additionally there is a Queen size futon in every bedroom should they be needed.  Each of the bedrooms has a sliding glass door leading out to a covered terrace.  All bedrooms are equipped with TV, satellite and DVD players.  All of the Villa Valhalla bedrooms have an en-suite bathroom with tub/shower combinations.  The exception is one of the bedrooms on the ground floor.  This bedroom has been handicap modified with wider doors, lower counter tops and a shower in the bathroom with wide opening all tastefully done so as not to appear institutional in any way.  Removable ramps provide wheel chair access into the home and out to the pool area should they be required.

On the second floor at the top of the landing is a large entertainment room.  This room has a wrap around couch, large screen TV with satellite and DVD, computer center with wireless internet (bring your lap top with you), desk and attached terrace with seating to enjoy the jungle view.

Just like the main floor bedrooms, each of the four suites on the 2nd floor, have King beds which can be split into Twins, plus a Queen futon, sitting area, attached en-suite bathrooms with shower/tub combinations, satellite TV with DVD and sliding glass doors leading out to a large covered terrace.

A large oceanfront terrace stretches in front of 3 of the 4 second floor bedrooms providing an inviting place to relax and take in the pool and ocean views.  The 4th bedroom is slightly set back providing a private terrace allowing for a little intimacy without sacrificing the postcard views.

Villa Valhalla rooftop mirador provides a spectacular view of Half Moon Bay.  A sitting area to enjoy the panoramic view over a late afternoon cocktail or a day bed to tan or star gaze, makes this another wonderful space to enjoy.

Returning to ground level.  Villa Valhalla has a large pool with infinity edge creating the illusion that the pool just carries on straight into the ocean.  The pool has a shallow end for children and a large thatch roof palapa with hammocks to hang out to in the shade. 

Just beyond the pool is a man made sandy area.  Beyond that it is rocky coral which can make it difficult to get in and out of the water directly in front of the villa,  BUT... this coral provides good habitat for sea life so the snorkelling is good right here.

A very short stroll down the oceanfront will take you to a sandy beach where it is easy to get into the water for swimming and wading.   The Akumal icon 'Buena Vida Beach Bar and Restaurant' and a dive shop are both conveniently located right there on the beach just a couple minutes stroll from Villa Valhalla.
