The beachfront condo complex Xaman-Ha  (pronounced shaw-man-ha and meaning 'waters of the north' in the Mayan language) located in the Playa del Carmen community of PlayaCar Phase 1, could not be in a more convenient location.  A great beach that does not see too much traffic and a very short stroll to Playa del Carmens famous 5th Avenue walking street is why this older yet well maintained complex has remained a popular destination.

Add to the fabulous location, lush sculptured grounds that include a palapa massage room......

...... an inviting large beachfront pool that even boasts a swim up bar.......

.... and not to forget a spectacular white sand beach that doesn't often get busy and you begin to understand why guests come back year after year.

Xaman-Ha unit #7114 is a 2 bedroom unit one floor up from ground in the center 'B' building.  There is no elevator.  The unit has a covered terrace and its front and center position within the complex ensure a great view of the grounds, pools and ocean.

Inside the front of this lovely Xaman-Ha condo you will find a living room area with couch and 2 chairs.  A TV with satellite and CD/tape player provide entertainment should you ever drag yourself indoors.  A slider out to the terrace invites you to sit down and enjoy the view while you savour your morning coffee or sundowner before heading out to one of the many nearby restaurants, bars, and clubs.

A dining table with round table and 6 chairs splits the living area and kitchen.  The open design allows for ease of conversation throughout the common areas of the condo. 

The kitchen has a full size refrigerator, oven, 4 burner electric counter top stove, blender, coffee maker, microwave and a good assortment of dishes, pots & pans.

Down the hall towards the entrance are the bedrooms.  A guest bathroom with shower is adjacent to the guest bedroom.  This bedroom has 2 single beds.

The master bedroom has a King bed and attached en-suite bathroom with double sinks, shower/tub.

A very interesting aspect of the Xaman-Ha condos are their location directly adjacent to the Xaman-Ha ancient Mayan ruins.  These ruins date back to 300 - 600 AD when this was a resting point for Mayans travelling back and forth from the island of Cozumel where it was believed the Mayan God of fertility resided.  Young women would visit the island to pray for fertility and a healthy child birth.  Today Xaman-Ha is s resting point for vacationers looking to worship the sun, sand and sea.
